Collection Principles ​

MAD DOC measures its value not by the number of articles copied, but by whether information can be found, verified, and maintained:

  1. Primary sources first: Original posts by creators, contest pages, organization websites, and official software documentation take priority over reposts.
  2. Separate facts from opinions: Platform category rules, community conventions, individual classification systems, and historical conjecture are labeled separately.
  3. Preserve disagreements: MAD and AMV do not share a single, universally accepted classification system. Disputes are themselves part of the historical record.
  4. No infringing downloads: Source-media pages explain lawful sources and organization methods. They do not list piracy sites.
  5. Record link status: Dead Tieba posts, cloud-drive links, and legacy websites are not presented as usable resources; they are documented as digital-preservation issues.

Sources verified on Jul. 25, 2026. The site now includes commonly applicable contest guidelines and explanations of rule differences. Contest and organization directories, as well as systematic production tutorials, remain outside the current development phase.

Contact and Resource Submissions ​

MAD DOC publishes its source code and resource files on GitHub. To submit your own article, recommend a publicly available MAD/AMV resource, correct existing content, or ask a project-related question, use one of the following channels:

  • Email: Write to hi@madproducer.com. Whenever possible, include the article title, author, original URL, and the context needed to assess it.
  • Issue: Use GitHub Issues to report missing resources, factual errors, dead links, or website problems.
  • Pull Request: Submit resource additions, content corrections, or website improvements directly to the MAD-Producer/MAD-DOC repository. New or revised material must include its original sources and verification information.
